My role is to try to make the Chess experience for kids, coaches and teachers as fun and impactful as possible, and I've got a great team to work with. Outside of work, I love to play Chess (naturally), poker, be a nerd about all things tech and business related, and spend time with my boys.
Christine- Product Manager
I reach out to schools and youth organizations across the country & around the world - to introduce them to ChessKid.com and show how their students can learn and connect through chess. If you work with a large scholastic program, I'm here to help get your program organized, active, and make ChessKid.com easy to use. I'm also lucky to represent ChessKid.com in person at on-site events and tournaments. Stop by & say hi!

Later I did a Masters on Multimedia, where I had contact with other fields like music information retrieval, sound design, mobile and game developing. I'm mainly a backend developer and lately I've been working more with Java and Spring Boot, along with some personal experiences with Node.js. Chess is also an interest I hope I can develop now!
Ivan- Web Developer

In my free time, I compete at chess tournaments, direct and organize chess tournaments, and run my own non-profit to help bring chess programs to my local community.
GMKrikor Mekhitarian- Director of Content (Portuguese)
Hi! I'm a streamer and commentator for official events. I started playing chess at 7 and haven't looked back since. I graduated in Business Administration, but chess has always been my passion and my work (which is tricky sometimes!). My family is from Armenia, a country with a big tradition in chess, I use that to scare my opponents, and make them think I'm really good! It's been amazing to be part of this great team, and I look forward to be able to help bringing great content and streams for Portuguese-speaking users in the years to come.
Liam- Account Manager
Hi I'm Liam! As an account manager at ChessKid.com, I contact and train programs on how ChessKid can best help them. Michelle- Director of Marketing & Coach Liaison
Knowing that playing chess helps children develop the 21st century skills they need in this fast-paced world, I hope to make chess as accessible to them as possible. I love connecting with coaches, teachers, schools & districts around the world to help with getting their program started on ChessKid.com. I'm here to help you implement ChessKid.com into your program, show you how to get your kids active, and to offer support and guidance every step of the way!
FMMike Klein- Chief Chess Officer
FM stands for Fun Master. My favorite chess piece is the pencil on the scoresheet. I like writing about chess more than playing in tournaments, and Chess.com weirdly allows this blasphemous mindset. I'll take it! I report on tournaments, do live commentary, edit lots of videos and articles, and keep Chesskid.com running smoothly. I'm like a slightly older, less loquacious, lower-rated version of Danny. I like to travel, play tennis, bike, and play with my kitten, Ipso Facto.
Naomi- Project Manager
Hi! I am Naomi, ChessKid Project Manager. I work on a gazillion different things! Like bringing more languages to the site, adding closed captions to our videos, and identifying bugs and doing quality assurance making sure they're fixed! I love working with ChessKid.com and Chess.com, we are a huge family and I love everyone!
Nasar- 2D Animator & Illustrator
I work as an artist for ChessKid.com. I create cartoon illustrations and do short animations of chess pieces and try bring them to life. I love to create art, cartoons, games and eat pizza :-). It's been awesome experience working with Chess.com team!
Olivia- Social Media Manager
Oswaldo- Frontend Developer
I've been playing chess since my childhood when my grandfather taught me, so this has sentimental value for me. Another thing I love is working, I swear ... coding, I love new technologies and new ways to solve problems (yes, a nerd). I am also a father with two daughters, they are what moves me, my reason for living.
Rafa- Frontend Developer
After playing chess on Chess.com for some years, I started to work for ChessKid as a frontend developer... and I'm so happy! I really enjoy making our page look awesome and helping those little masters to improve their chess skills. I have also been a musician for more than half of my life - a drummer, percussionist, music producer, and DJ. I live in Berlin, where I have several music projects with my friends, rock, and electronic ones. My life swings between my work at ChessKid and my music. Chess, love, and rock'n'roll! 💚 🧡 🖤
Ranae- Education Director
As a school board member in a high-achieving system, I immediately saw the educational benefits that chess brings to students whether they competed on a chess team or not. Just playing the game for fun has value. I wanted every elementary student to have the opportunity to learn the game because of the critical thinking skills that are developed. Providing all students with a ChessKid account was a great way to do that. I love helping teachers utilize ChessKid in their classrooms and helping them teach kids how to play.
Rodrigo- Web Developer
I'm a developer for ChessKid, always working on new features for kids, coaches, and schools. I'm also a father of two little ChessKids. Outside of work I play soccer, compete in local chess tournaments, and read textbooks for fun.
Salvatore- Frontend Developer
Hey there! I'm a front-end developer and I love building usable user interfaces, with cool animations and transitions. I also like (pretending) to play well at chess. In my spare time, I like to grow beautiful vegetables and eat them.
